2.   Six words:

J  Hindsight: the ability to understand an event or situation only after it has happened

With hindsight, we'd all do things differently.

J  tenement: a large building divided into apartments, usually in a poor area of a city

One result was a considerable amount of low-cost tenement building by philanthropic associations in the cities from the early 1880s.

J  schizophrenia: a serious mental illness in which someone cannot understand what is real and what is imaginary

Women with infectious hepatitis or schizophrenia have slightly more daughters than sons.

J  committed: loyal and willing to give your time and energy to something that you believe in

There is concern that police use the law to confiscate assets from people who have committed minor offenses.

J  octogenarian: a person who is between 80 and 89 years old

The octogenarian, who is a vegetarian and has never smoked cigarettes or drunk alcohol, is ready to share his knowledge with others.

J  glamorous: attractive in an exciting and special way

The south coast is less glamorous but full of clean and attractive hotels.

#4 Your thought on the talk: Inside the mind of a master procrastinator

1. Do you procrastinate sometimes?

Honestly, the truth is I do procrastinate things sometimes, but it depends on the thing whether it is urgent or not.

2. What are some of the things you procrastinate on?

For example, I have a big test coming up. I plan to divide the studying over some days. But then I rather watch that movie, or hang out with my friends thinking “but I still have the weekend”. When on the weekend, I want to do other things. As a result of this, when there’s only one day left, I feel panic and have to study everything in one day and stay up the whole night.

3. What are strategies you can use to combat procrastination.

When I plan, I like to do it in a vague way that doesn’t consider details or reality too closely, and their planning leaves them perfectly set up to not actually accomplish anything.

I think I need to show myself I can do it, not tell myself. Things will change when I show myself that I can. 👍

#2 English Learning Podcast

– Name of the podcastWELCOME TO NIGHT VALE

– Link to the podcast: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrvuY59InDI3iKvopKT8PEw

– What is the podcast about?

WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE is a twice-monthly podcast in the style of community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, featuring local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers, and cultural events. Luckily, Night Vale is a fictional town that is drawn from the minds of its writers and creators.

– Why you recommend this podcast?

WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE is conducted in the form of just like news, that is, the host is reporting the news seriously, but the content of the news is amusing. For example, it is reported that there is a dog park in the night valley, but neither dogs nor people can enter. If you listen to  WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE, you will find that the episode is super unreasonable, but this unreasonable is very interesting. This podcast also can be searched on YouTube, and you can listen to it if you are interested in it. 😜
